    Default New and interested

I am 16 and have taken an interest in Odanism, especially the Virtues. I was wondering if anyone could steer me towards a good place to learn more about it. Preferably free, thank you to any takers.

These videos are technically about Asatru, but that is basically the same as Odinism. I highly recommend watching the whole series made by this man. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSKv5V9X0IA His videos for me got all the wheels turning in my head and brought up so much info that I learned about. Now I'm not sure if you know about the lore very much, because you didn't mention it in your post but here is a good video about Norse mythology... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIwvYuL2PMA These videos aren't 100% precise but most of the translations of the eddas and stories are tweaked a little bit by each teller anyways.

This site is a general introduction about Asatru http://www.runestone.org/ It is also good to read around on that site as well.

Now After you get acquainted with the religion a little bit and learn what it's all about you should read the Poetic Edda and the Prose Edda. They can be found here http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/poe/index.htm

You should also read sagas, like Egil's saga, saga of the Volsungs, etc. I don't know if you can read that online though. Also, be cautious of universalist Odinism and their websites. Usually, in my experience, those websites tend to work in a lot of eastern customs and practices into the religion instead of just doing what our Ancestors did.

    I hope this helped.
