I'm not much for words when it comes to introductions, but I'll do my best. I'm a young college student in Rochester, NY, and have literally been borderline obsessed with religious study (I think seeking is a more appropriate term) since about 7th grade; I guess that'd be roughly 6 or 7 years now. I grew up in a non-religious family, extremely open minded and non interfering (my father even accompanied me to an introductory Wicca class simply because I was interested in it, I was 14 then). I've dabbled in eveything from Wicca to Orthodox Christianity, Judaism to Islam, Buddhism and agnosticism. Nothing really struck a chord with me, as much as I wanted it to. It's interesting that I've apparently "stumbled" upon Asatru (as compared to my brushes with other religions) after returning from a trip to Scotland with my grandmother, finding out that my ancestors originated from an island north of Skye. I don't really have much else to say, except that any guidance, one on one chat, and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

After browsing I see that many people hold the "racial purity" train of thought. Perhaps I don't belong here after all...
I feel it necessary to point out that, especially as an American, the whole racial purity thing doesn't make much sense. If my ancestors were bent on racial purity, even with the best intentions, I wouldn't exist. I also highly doubt that my soul is devoid of any coloration related to that of my skin.

Uh...we have all kinds of thought regarding this idea. I haven't heard anyone say *anything* about skin color as a sole determiner of anything. But after reading if you feel this isn't a good fit...that is fine. I hope you find your way :).

Yeah, I wasn't there for anything specific. I had a friend once who was very white supremecist and touted SF all day long, and for some reason I decided to check it out again and it put my blood pressure through the roof pretty much.
