I was recently released from the Nevada department of corrections after 14 years and anyone that knows Nevadas prison system knows that Asatru/Odinism is looked down on and the kindreds through out the state are always being harrassed because of thier beleifs . The kindred that I am a member/gothi is the RavensVolk at High Desert State Prison and there really not much I can do to help my kinsman now that Iam out. But to the kinsman that are getting out or have just got out I found out that just a letter of support or a card can do wonders to pick up and brighten a kinsman day.

I recall,if memory serves me well,seeing material you have submitted to various Volkish literature in years past.As one who served time in the Texas system I understand all too well the vehement opposition to our Path by officials who are bent on shoving xtian (read,pacifist) ideals down incarcerated peoples throats.Ours is a Path that inspires Pride,Courage,Honor,all the things prison officials want to beat out of you to support their authoritarian objectives.I do indeed keep up with a few Kinsmen behind the wire,and you are right,it is its own reward,knowing that person knows they are not alone in their Path,or their Pride.Here's to your renewed liberty,Kinsman.

Hailsa to you kinsman Big Tex .Thank you for you input and Honor and you are 100% right officials are always trying to degrade the Pride ,Courage, and our Honor by any means that they could. But tru kinsman will not lay down and will fight till the last breath in their lungs.

If you don't mind my asking,kinsman to kinsman,how is the transition going?Even after the long period of time I was away(20 years flat)I didnt find life all that hard to readjust to,however,and I'm curious if you found this tru as well,I really dont have ANY patience for those that do not have the courage of their convictions,and there seem to be so many out here.Having had to live in the enviroment we did we came to understand that one is who/what they say they are,or they are false,and there's no room in our circles for false if the 14 are to be anything more than Words.Out here,people get to be whatever they want to be on these keyboards,most never are truly confronted with their beliefs or have to actually physically defend them or their kin,as we have.I wondered for a time,"am I just institutionalized?",then I realized,no,I am not,cowards are cowards,no matter where they are,period.Be interested in your take on the state of our Cause since you've had a chance to witness it out here awhile now,kinsman.Hail Odin,and Hail Thee,Einherjar!

I agree with you 100% ,after 14 years in the Nevada system I have found it pretty easy to readjust and to these so-called kinsman that think that there tru to our faith,beleifs,and ancestors don't know the tru meaning of the 14 words let alone the 88 precepts and truth be told (like you said )these so-called kinsman are fake cowards,period. And they won't stand up and fight for what is tru and for the cause and faith that we will fight for by all means and would pay the ultimate price to gain our seats in VALHALLA .....And when these skaerlings are confronted all that they do is run and hide from the fight that comes along with the Cause that we hold so close and will defend no matter what......

I to know how it is to be an odinist behind the wire, my first bit was back in cali , but by last bit was here in missouri I go released 8 mo. ago, as for saying that odinists are frowned uppon is an understatement expecially here in missouri.
they will not let lit be mailed in, you can order books through the chapel but its a select fiew & still there is no guarantee that they will get ordered & I filed greavance after grevance, to no avail. 1488

Hailsa norse88 I do understand how it was for you with getting your books and other secred text.Here in nevada I had to file lawsuits so that my kinsman and I could get certain books such as the Temple Of Wotan,Creed of Iron,and a few others.We had to also file class action lawsuits to get our secred lands so that we could set up our groves.And its a constant battle with this states prison system still for our kinsman that are still being heald behind the wire.
