I am really serious...I'd like everyone to join the NRA today... FOR FREE! The NRA is offering a free year of membership to everyone who cares to join.
We need to help the largest gun-owner's rights lobby put up a united front to stop erosion of our rights!
Even those who don't or can't own guns should sign up to protect our American values and way of life.

It will not let me join because I do not live in the United States and I do not have American citizenship. Nevertheless, I urge others to join.

What is the NRA even about now? They really have been out of the news for a long time now.

Angantyr,
Thanks for trying! I was actually kind of curious about what would happen if non-Americans joined... too bad it wouldn't do it. I hope there is at least a Canadian gun-rights org out there for you guys. What are the basics of Canadian gun laws? I brought guns in to Canada, but no handguns allowed and most hi-cap mags except for rimfire if I recall.
XxGUNGNIRxX,
The NRA is a lobby group that organizes to keep a finger on Congress,a group that educates citizens about their presonal liberties, what politicans are doing, and firearms safety. They are the largest group of this kind and a good place to network, etc. My daughter likes their safety DVDs about firearms safety.

We do not really need such lobbies in Canada. The thing is that America is over-legislated. We have less guns laws and less gun abuses. We have less drug laws and less drug abuses. We have less prostitution laws and less prostitution problems. America, far from being the land of freedom, really has Big Brother looking over you and watching yor every step. You guys really need organizations like to NRA to protect your freedoms.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Angantyr.
