Did any one else see the BBC news at 6PM? I don't normally watch the dribble but I was having my dinner at the time. Anyway there was a report about the new Pope in Germany. During some visit he was paying to a Jewish group one of his cardinals gave a speech saying that the rise in anti-semetism in Europe is linked to neo-Pagan groups!! I don't know if he was refering to Odinists as well but I would bet my last pound he was. I nearlly chucked my plate through the TV. Bloody nerve. It doesn't take a genious to work out who is responsible, but no they would rather have a dig at us!

Rise in anti semitism? The Catholic church should talk. I wonder who it was that blamed the jews for their (jewish) saviours death? Or which Religious leader actively supported Hitler? The Catholic church needs to stick to preaching to the 3rd world, they're about the only ones who have the sufficient lack of education to believe their crap these days.

Not only that, he said that the holocaust was due to the neo paganism of the Nazi party!!

Well take solace in the fact that the "vatican" and pervious popes were in league with Nazi's, the inqusition, full scale murder or those that did not believe. So why worry what a totally currupt and degenerate branch of that faith says, it is just wasted energy is it not? I do not see Odinists running around feeling up little boys and preaching things that they do not follow themselves. All be it ignorrant does what they say really matter? I can not see how it could be the fault of "Pagans" as the rise of anti semitism in todays paranoid, PC, liberal Germany, hell these are the same peoples that banned a clothing line because it had a rune on it. Catholisiscm is on a down turn and people are leaving the church in droves, many are becomming pagans. I understand how you feel but in the end does it really matter what THEY think? :)

Ridiculous. Though there were Wotanist movements in Germany during the NS period, I believe Hitler rejected the idea, calling it foolish to resurrect "the worship of Wotan." It seems he wanted nothing to rival his own fuhrer cult. While it's possible to be NS and Heathen both it might be argued, 'Odinism' of itself does not lead to "anti-semitism". It is a troth, a folk-belief, not a political ideology. I am racialist myself in outlook, politically and otherwise but it need not touch upon things spiritual outside of the folkish aspect of Odinism.
I pay no attention to the pronouncements of the catholics or any other church for that matter. My mother was catholic,as are my grandparents, closest connection I have to the religion.

E-mail him and express your feelings about his comments. Be polite in your email even though he deserves less than that. I really doubt he will respond but I'm hoping he reads mine at least.

It does matter. We are being slandered by some git who not only is telling down-right lies, but also is part of an organisation which helped shovel as much Jewish gold as possible into Swiss bank accounts.

But its the bigger picture that bothers me. The clown who was saying these things knows damn well that Odinists have sod all to do with anti-semetic attacks. The Pontiff wants to look to his new "friends" the Muslims. I think they might be able to shed some light on the situation. Odinists are being targetted because first we are a small group and second we are more racially aware than the average European i.e. a threat to the PC mob.

Oh man, that is terrible!! you know, I actually didn't mind JP 2, I mean he actually came out and apologized for the tragic things that happened during the European conversion of Christianity! Not that it makes up for it but it certainly is nice to be recognized that way. And now this is the way this new pope intends on starting his reign? Jeepers creepers!

The cause of rising Anti-Semitism in Europe is not because of Neo-Pagan groups or even Christians, it's the rising Muslim population in that part of the world.

But noone would dare say that... that wouldn't be politically correct.

I was a catholic and now this pope makes me glad I am not one anymore. I wouldn't want him representing me if I was still a practicing Catholic.

Here's a qoute.

"In the 20th century, in the darkest period of German and European history, an insane racist ideology, born of neo-paganism, gave rise to the attempt, planned and systematically carried out by the regime, to exterminate European Jewry," he said. "The result has passed into history as the Shoah," he said, using the Hebrew term for the Holocaust.

The Pope and all Christains that grovel to Jews make me sick. It's a simple well known fact that Christian Europe has been killing and persecuting Jews since the Jews first showed up in Christain lands.

Christian Maniz - 1012
Christian France - 1182
Christain Bavaria - 1276 .........
.........the list is huge and goes all the way up to Christian Moscow - 1891
