Well I finally got my boy. It was about time I guess, I was wondering what was wrong with my wife anyways. lol
His name is Jurgen
He was born Aug 2nd and wieghed 8lbs14oz. He was born via c-section so my wife is having a quite a hard recovery. He is doing well except for jaundice. If it doesnt improve they want to put him under some sort of light. I hope that doesn't happen. Anyways his 2 big sisters are very happy to have him here and help out quite a bit.

Ooooh, what a beautiful baby!! COngratulations to you both!!
8 lbs 14 oz, wow, how big and healthy! My daughter had jaundice when she was born (a slight case), they put her under the lights, it's really no big deal if they end up having to do that. They will put these little paper "sunglasses" on him, and let him lay there in something that looks like a tanning bed more than anything else, hehe. When visitors would come to see my daughter and she was in the nursery under the lights I would tell them, "Sorry, she is at the spa at the moment!" hehe.
Congrats again, buddy!

Hello,
Congradulations are in order. Melissa had a C-section last year with Corbin and even though they say that they are pretty routine- I thought that the whole thing was pretty scary and it takes quite a few weeks to recover.

Thank you very much everyone for your kind words, it means alot. He was 22 inchs long. I'm 6'5" and Penny is 6' so I guess he will be in that range when he grows up.
Ya a c-section is kinda scary. We have had 3 of them now. It always reminds me of the last scene in Braveheart for some reason. They had a new resident doctor there helping out. She had to leave the OR room, I guess she couldn't take it. lol.

Jaundice is a condition where the production and breakdown of blood cells is out of balance and the waste products in the blood give the flesh a yellow tinge!!!!
It is common in newborn but rarely serious.

Well I finally got my boy. It was about time I guess, I was wondering what was wrong with my wife anyways. lol Ha. Don't know if anyone else already mentioned it, but you've got yurself to thank as per the sex of the baby. I believe the father contributes the x or y chromosome that determines sex.
Anyhoo, congrats! :D I've got a 3 mo. old son named Will myself, our first. Healthy little boy, if only he'd learn to sleep a little longer and sounder.... May Friga and all disir bless your new son!

your 100% correct, though personally for me I would be just as happy with a beatiful healthy girl or a handsom healthy boy

I was attempting to be funny. My wife reads this board sometimes and was hoping she would see it. :)

congrats on the baby. I forget the mechanics of it, but I was told that a little bit of jaudice is actually a good thing since it is a by-product of a healthy immune system. My daughter was jaundiced too. We gave her lots of "naky time" in indierect sunlight and it resolved itself.
