wow, how long have you been doign that then? i got some horns the other day and borrowed a dremil, practicing on wood currently before i actually do the horns but its kinda tougher than i thought it might be, any suggestions or tips?

Been doing them about 8-9 months. Just practice is all you can do and once you get use to the tool and the different bits for engraving its gets easier and youll want to do more intricate designs.

ill just have to keep at it then, i did a irminsul that came out pretty decent the other day but not amazing work. do you draw the designs on the horn first and then carve them?

Yes just as a tattoo artist would lay a pattern or outline first. keep up the work it will become easier in time everytime I do one I learn more and what not to do.

You have the best art work I have ever seen on any drinking horns!
Generally how many hours do you put into these masterpieces?

around 20+ hours depends on the design.

I wanted to re-enter the last question. Do you sell them, if so how much and how do I go about ordering them. Also, do you do custom ones if you do sell them?

Most horns are custom ordered or I can come up with some nice celtic knotwork or norse design as well. Average horn is usually around 18 inches long can comes with a thin leather shoulder strap. Bees wax is used to seal the insides and come ready to drink from. Horns start at $100 but once the design is decided then a price can me arranged. Anyone interested just hit me up here or email at

Damn Brother. At $100 You are making less then minimum wage! If it only takes You 20 hours even to finish a horn then at $100 You would only be making $5 an hour. Not saying You should kill us with a much higher price (although Your work is worth a lot more) You should raise the base to cover your time and efforts as my estimates are not even taking supplies into account.

yeah I know brother but remember thats the start price and with whatever the design it goes from there.....Ive a small surplus of horns right now and its best to get them while they are available. It works out in the end and I am the only one out there whos doing custom work really but if your simply wanting something not so personal I can point you in the right direction and thus end up with what every one else has already. haha

ATTENTION EVERYONE:
DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY!
I ordered a custom made horn October 13th, 2007 and I have yet to receive a horn or my money back.
Tried one month ago to get my money back and he refused and accused me of trying to cheat him!
I have made several calls to a friend of his to get copies of the postal receipt to find the horn myself. Still no postal receipt. Based on his behavior, I am now certain that he never mailed the horn and simply ripped me off.
There is no direct way for me to get a hold of him, he has my phone number and can call me so we can work this out, but he has refused to do so.
I am extremely ****ed off losing $150.00 with nothing to show for it.

You all can see for yourself how this man conducts business:

Start with post number 58.
As you can see, he promised me that if the horn does not show up in one month, he would refund my money. Even that was a bold faced lie.

That still not change the fact that you cheated me out of $150.00.
Just mail me back the $150.00 and I do not give a damn how many threats you make.
