Hi Zelda

The OR has always had members who are incarcerated and as such it was a natural step for us to formalise the work we did by creating the OR prison outreach wing.

However, there is more to be done than just helping prisoners with guideance, membership, literatrue etc. We are now finding that we are being appraoched by some of the prison staff asking questions pertinent to the practice of Odinism in prison etc.

Laurel Owen recently attended a policy making type meeting in the TX system to present the Odinist viewpoint. One outcome has been that there has been a partial lifting on the ban on runes in the TX state system.

We realised that matters cocnerning our holy faith and the advance of the Rite in the prison system covered more than just the outreach style work (though this is still of course the bulk and is vital) so we have expanded our outreach wing to include all matters which are pertinent to this area and as the name suggest, it now encompasses all Prison Affairs germain to Odinism.

I am in talks with the ORPAB at the moment and H and all is going ahead nicely. A few rules have been cleared up as I like to do things 100% 'koshar' and we are well on our way. I only hope I can help at the end of the day with 'my' particular inmate and the ORPAB resentative I am in contact with knows this. All is dandy! :) I am so much lookng forward to this. If their is anyone here that is willing to do the same then please do but take it 100% seriously, it is not something you should just jump in with head first at all - take serious contemplation. :dance:
