Dear Board Owner and/or Administrator:

In different places on the forum, mostly in big red signatures of banned or inactive people, I see the same words that were passed to me through an Asatru email circulation. They indicate that this forum is meant to be promoted as a neo-Nazi virtual space. I know that there is some politicing going on here, with some recent upheaval, and apparently free speech is enabled, except for previous moderators who are now banned. Aside from all of the banned people, the email circulated is mostly why I came to find out for myself what Odinist.com is all about. I always try to decide for myself in matters of heresay. But if this is to be a site which, by its promotion, encourages neo-Nazi ideas among the general population, no offense, but I'll take my lilly white ass somewhere else to find what I seek....Odinism, Asatru, Eddas, Sagas, Runes...without "Hurray, we're white!" and "heil Hitler". I have enough right-wing politics in my family to fill the Atlantic twice over. I've heard the NPD slogans enough.

To be clear, I'm not questioning the right of free speech. But I prefer not to waste time beating my head against a proverbial wall with talk of Eddas, Sagas, and Vikings, when that really isn't the plan for Odinist.com and instead its to be a political platform. So I'm plain out asking what this board is all about. Is this forum for white national socialists, neo-Nazis, racists (meant in the purest form of the word), or people who affiliate politically with NSDAP, and/or NPD?

The administrators of Odinist.com are not promoting anything. Members are free to speak about whatever they wish. As long as the posts are not insulting of other members or violent, etc, we will allow the posts. There is total free speech allowed here and members are able to post threads about topic they wish.

Odinism is a Folkish path; this isn't Wicca-tru and the New Age doesn't own Heathenism, so get used to racial pride being associated with Heathenism. Now you are basically whining for the mods to make it stop so you can talk about "safe" subjects like old texts. The thing about Odinism is that it isn't trapped in the old text. We Heathens find contexts for our out-look in every facet of life, including politics.

I'd like to come to an agreement with you if it can be done. I will no longer say anything to give the impression that I'm painting you with a broad brush if you refrain from painting me with a different broad brush. Its common courtesy, I think, from one guest in this "virtual hall" to another.

With regards to my relationship with my Indian friends, you have no knowledge. Please don't pretend as if you do by misinterpreting a few words of which I know the meaning, words that I know were not meant with ill intention. I'm not sure to what you're referring by Wicca-tru. I know nothing about Wicca. It was Beowulf, the Lay of Thrym, etc., that were my bedtime stories.

Secondly, though its sometimes refreshing to be labeled a liberal for a change, you really know nothing about me or my politics. I know nothing about you or your politics. Furthermore, mine are none of your business and yours are none of my business. I will admit to you that when I run into intolerance and exclusion with no cause, its like an ill wind to me. Yes, I recognize the hypocricy of being intolerant of intolerance, but I guess that's my fault. Blame me for that before anything else.

Three years ago I set out to investigate the racial branch of our Odinist tree and was quite pleasantly surprised to find that they were people just like me and you. Only difference was they had the honour and the courage to stand up to the status quo and speak an ugly truth that no one wants to hear or realize.

There is not as much hate behind those symbols and numbers as you may have been led to believe. Any hate that I found was a mere reaction to a very threatening reality and a reaction of defense not attack.

You have stated that you are a *hardcore* Odinist and have thirty three years of experience under your belt. I must make the next logical connection and assume that you are aware of the plight of the Aryan Caucasian across the West? I must too assume that you understand that we have no more homeland and a people without a homeland are a dying people?

I came to this site looking to learn about Odanism. I have no problem with any symbols. Hitler and the Nazi's used many old pre-christian symbols. Because they did, it doesn't mean that I can't use the same symbols today.
The neo-nazi/ skinhead population here is very vocal. I was wondering about this myself. I am not looking for censorship of them or me. I will stand up for what I believe and defend it to the best of my ability. If I am prooved wrong , I will admit it and change my position.

Here Here! Just because we want to ensure a future for our race doesnt make us racist... No it makes us Preservationists. You would let the Jew run media and the government along with kristinndomr turn you and say there is nothing wrong nothing to be afraid of. When in reality our race is going extinct. Heathenry is not xenophobic, it is Ancestral. We (the decendents of N. Europeans) have a specific way that we view the world as did our ancestors. This makes our religion incompatible with any other people. Our ancestors didnt view the world the way the Chinese did or the Japanese or the Afrikaans etc. This is why most Odinists will tell you that our Holy Faith is for those of European decent only.
