What do you all thnk of tattoos? As to like whether or not they violate the faith in some way. I guess it's a little late, I got a thor's hammer on my arm with some runes maybe inappropriate for this site....... But what do you all think?

I made it thru 23 years in the Navy with out a tatoo. I was very tempted sometimes. I watched as many of my friends in states from sober to drunk and all in between got one. I never will. IMHO it is a better form of ID to the Police than your fingerprints. If you chnge your mind it will be very expensive to remove and the area will never look right. As you age it will start to fade and no matter how good it is in the begining it will look like crap in the end.

I especially would never get one that I could not easily hide with long sleeves or what ever. You never know when you might be presented with a job oportunity that a tatoo could possibly prevent you from getting.

Again I've seen some nice ones and the runes and thors hammer celtic knots etc. are the ones that always caught my I. It's a personal choice but to me it is much to permanent. I like to allow flexibility in all I do.

Well, I've seen plenty of people on this forum with odinist-themed tats so I don't think they "violate the faith". On a more personal level however, I don't think I'm ever going to have any. :)
