I'm rather new and unknowing to alot of the ways of my forefathers religion. I'm seeking out like minded individuals in my area that could teach me and guide me along the way.

I am in the area of Southwest Wisconsin. PM me if you'd like to get together some weekend.

Welcome bloodofwar. I'm not in your area, but I'll mention the obvious: have you contacted the Odinic Rite, the Asatru Alliance, and kindred groups??? :)

I'd suggest contacting the Odinic Rite ( http://www.********rite.org )

There's also some contacts on this page.

The young lady is a 4 or 5 hour drive away, but I'd consider that fairly close in the sense of weekends.

I am sort of lucky. I have Somerled, and he's not that far away, about 45 minutes, but he's the only one I am aware of.

There are some Wiccan groups maybe an hour or so away...Even some Odinists...but they accept too many diverse aspects in a very political sense. I avoid those who are not of my blood.

Keep away from wiccans and those types man. Dont "settle" just to have some somewhat likeminded people to hang out with. Always remember when it comes to anything in life, especially friends it's "Quality, not quantity".

I agree wholeheartedly. Don't settle for anything less than what's right for you.

People like that from what I've seen, are diversity mongers and as well they ignore their spiritual heritage...

I would rather just have Somerled 45 minutes away than be surrounded by some of the so called heathens i have met :D .

Quite true, like Hved said, "Quality over quantity". I agree.
