Here are a few of the horns we have made. I can't find all of my pictures and I am sure Bogwojny has more he can add to this. But this will give you the general idea what we do.

Pretty wicked lookin bro. I have some horns in my closet, but I jacked em off one of those truck mounts, so I duno if they are in any condition to be made into something drink worth, or if I could carve in them. I live south of Atlanta, so since it aint far, I may just buy some form you and save yself the effort :D Could send ya these ones too when I got the money. If there any good, ya can have em, if not, trash em.

Get your head out of the gutter Don. Do you seriously have THAT much free time?

I have some horns in my closet.

How thin are they and are they all cracked. If it is just the edge of the horn that is cracked, you can cut it down some and it will be fine. Any holes you can probably patch with epoxy.

Great work, i like the fact that because there not massed produced they are original. I really think they are all good, but the detail on the one with Odin on Sleipnir surrounded by the Elder furthark is splendid ! Would love to buy one of those :D

Well, lets see....

I have been off the job for 8 months with an injury to my left ankle. I am a motorcyclist and was working on restoring a car before I got injured. My "parenting time" with my kids is every other weekend and most of my friends have a job and stuff to do after work..... So yes, I have that much time.....

Plus, my mind has always been in the gutter since the first time I had ever listened to GG Allin, The Cramps, Mojo Nixon and Gwar. Heh, even before then. The words of a 20 year old are not going to change that.

Or did you want me to elaborate on the fact that you "stole" them off a truck? If I remember right that is still theft, and though in my youth I have done many a bad thing - I have done my time to make up for them (remember the Army was to keep my scrawny butt from going to prison - I was that bad of a kid). Stealing to provide is one thing, theft just to be lazy and not be able to purchase something is another. Shall we play some chess or did you want me to drop it?

Your move -

Well allow me to retort. And sure, chess sounds nice. I say I took em off a truck for the sake of shortening the story. The house next door was abandoned, and since they just left a bunch of crap laying everywhere when they left, me and my friend went to scavenge. It was there I found the horns, no literally "on the truck" but still on the mount that had come off the truck. I am not a thief anymore, we do change our ways, (unfortunately it did take me going to jail to do it, but I like to think im not stupid enough to make the same mistake twice.) but I am still a pack rat. And Don, im no fool, ive read what you write, I am am no where foolish enough to assume that the words from anyone, especially me, could change your mind. That comment was merly ment in a sarcastic light. Also, I do understand that ya been outa comission for a little while, I dont need to be told again. It wasant a comment to cause conflict, just messin around with ya.
Your move boss.

In regards to the horns, they are just a little cracked and stuff from the holes tha they put in em to mount em, but my only fear is they are too thin to carve in. Probably just end up lettin em go and finding some better ones.

Well in that case, over the last few months I have lost what is called a sense of humor, I have the same mentality I had when I first got out of the army, so hopefully soon I will be back to ..... well for loss of a better word - normal ... once I get involved with society as a whole again.

You don't want to play chess with me, I use berserker pawns.

Aw, and here you had me convinced that this is normal for you :) Zerker pawns huh? I dont mind getting beat, as long as I lean somthing from it.

You could probably use those horns. put a piece of masking tape around the top under where all the cracks and holes are and cut it with a dremmel tool or something. You can still carve on a thin horn, you just can't go as deep. I have a really thick one I am doing for one of my brothers right now, should come out awsome, going to try different layers of color on it. If you don't want to carve it, I have seen where people have painted a big rune on their horn in enamel or something and then coated the whole thing in bees wax.

Yeah, but look at what they charge for them. The one I was talking about that was real good is the last one. The whole horn is carved out and the relief is the actual picture. I want to do one like that in knot work.

My little brother is a bit of a hot head, so you have to bear with him. We get people telling us they want horns all the time, and then... Nothing. He has taken orders, made the horn and then you never hear from the people again and so is stuck trying to sell it to someone else. All the horns we make are custom, you give us what you want and we do it.

The horn with Huginn and Muninn, I made in trade to a guy that is making me two ceremonial Mjollnir. The Flyflot knots with the Viking my brother did, for a friend for like $150. The one with Odin on Slepnir, with the Elder Futhark, I did for someone for $200. That horn with Mjollnir, with the face inside, I drink from atleast twice a week, if not more and sometimes all night long. (We make our own mead down here too) They have bees wax coating the insides, you don't have to have it if you don't want it. I have had some with nothing on the inside, once you clean them out they are fine.
I am close to getting another one done and I have been doing more to the one I use. I'll post somemore pics up when I get the one done.

Lol just giving ya grief ..
I know full well what you are saying, there is a sadly high flake factor in the heathen community when it comes to craftsmen.
I went to winter nights with a Org I will not name, took many orders and actually filled less than a third, I had tons of plaques in my closet that were some custom, and others requests lying around un claimed.

For this reason I do one at a time anymore and do not rely on word anymore without upfront payment. Do not get me wrong I have had really great customers, but also a fair share of flakes, and have been stiffed on trades and barter also, oh well live and learn.
It reminds me of a former friend and ex forum member that started making pins and clothing, dumped a bunch of money up front then proceeded to whine and cry about his doors not being beaten down after a month in business, gave away items and mead then bitched about it later. Guess he never realized you have to build a customer base and that it is not a given..

Your stuff looks amazing though, great work!!!

A few here and on another site have requested prices and such but once told each is its own value considering time, detalis and what not they seem never to reply to atleast let someone know anything. Its just a damn waste energy but got use toit and as you said unless the person is a close friend they will have to send the funds up front and the horn will be mailed at end 2 weeks. Cuts down the bull on all counts. Our horns are all personalized as to ordered.
Always up tp new ideas and designs.

He says he will be coming down there for St Pattys day from Atlanta. And that he will most likely be coming back with a horn from you guys ;)

He gave away MEAD? WTF is wrong with him? That's just crazy talkin there. LOL We are constantly brewing because we cannot keep up with what we drink here locally with our folk. Having enough to give away, he must not have been very good. LOL

I know what you are saying about the speed at which you make stuff. I am in no hurry, I have three horns sitting here for friends that I have to finish. As far as a customer base, I don't think there really is one in making horns. People usually only have one horn. maybe you might come across someone that uses a small personal horn and a large one, but most of the people we deal with just use large ones.

Lonnie, I hope Burt can still make it. I have heard the other guys coming have already pulled out. You are invited as well, anyone Burt considers folk is worthy indeed.

Na, I'd rather not make them at all. I make them for my people and my folk. Mass producing horns to blow out on some commercial auction page, just don't do nothing for me.
