Dont know if this thread belongs here or in science and nature? Well anyway i recently contacted a local conservation group called friends of murdishaw valley" and along with my friend, his youngest son and my Daughter were invited to build some bird and bat boxes at the organisers home. Needless to say we took up the challenge built the said boxes and armed with hammer and nails went into the woods and put up the boxes . The Group also clean the stream and surrounding woodland and regulary keep it free from litter. The group are all volunteers and because of this are small in number. They gave us a diary of events, which we will be helping them with in the future. Although i didnt mention my Odinic path to my new friends this was living Odinism for me. My 10 year old wanted to know when we can do it again. And if it means getting out and helping mother jorth, then i told her as soon as possible.Hail FFF :D

Thanks to you too for contacting the group and giving Kel and me the chance. :)
Kel's pretty nifty on the PC ( unlike his dad , who spent his childhood waiting for the third cowboy , in Alias Smith and Jones , to appear  )so no problem posting any pics to the forum of when we go out to inspect them.
It's just a thought but maybe it would be good to have action days on the site. I mean like , a designated bird box day when people from all over the world who visit here make a point of putting a bird box up somewhere around their locality all at the same time. A group thing easy enough to be done by the individual so to speak. Tree Planting maybe? Just a thought, anyway :)

Post the dimensions and details of the bird and bat boxes - spread the knowledge so we can all build nesting boxes.
