Hi All,

I just wondered if anyone could give me some links so some decent online heathen articles. I have read a few OR ones, and they are very good, should I continue to read as much of them as i can? The reason I ask is that I cant really order books, although I havent tried as of yet (I was thinking of trying world tree, with a cash order) and I feel like im going stale, as I im not learning anything about our faith at the moment. Im reading the Icelandic sagas and im half 2/3 the way through Egil's Saga but that is at far as it goes. I am lacking in the basics really, my problem is that I always run before i can walk :(

Well, if you can help me out, much appreiciated.
Thanks all.

LOTS of great information. Not so much our religion as interesting background, but she may help. :)

Heilsa Skallagrim,

Yes definitely read all the OR material you can, they have some great stuff!

I have been adding some new articles to my own website as well (Norroena), the link is in my signature, and I have also recently added some of the sagas such as the Vinland Saga, Heimskringla, the Elder & Younger Eddas, and the saga of the Volsungs. If you are willing to read them online this might save you some cash buying 'em.

I'm sure other people will step up and share their websites or favorites sites as well...

You want to have a word with Lonnie, he's the man. Most questions I ask Lonnie can normally pull three or four websites out of his hat. Cheers bro. :)

I'll second that, lonnie has a great wealth of online articles, e-books, text files and whatnot hosted he could give you. I owe him thanks for helping me find a pdf. version of "Germania" by Tacitus which I couldn't find online.

One article I would suggest is Yggdrasil and the Individual, on the front page of the OR site.

Sorry Hveðrungr, the "splash page" of the OR site. :D

Thanks for the mentions of my website ;)

On the above page you will find links to aprox. 144(+/-) webpages worth of articles.
At the below links you will find links to online works such as the Eddas, Sagas, and scholarly works (some complete, some just chapters of works).

Other links to check out for articles...

I don't agree with everything said on some of the above pages, but all have some things well worth reading.
And I could probably come up with more if needed ;)
These should keep you busy for at least a little while...

I have the eddas etc. in e-book form. Do you guys ever print out e-books from your own computer? Or can/do you go to a special print shop that will do it for you?

Try Kinkos, or a similar place. I think you can even get files bound in book form.

Not a problem...
Kinko's can be expensive$$. I personally use office supply stores like Office Depot, Staples, or Office Max... Or even smaller local ones, they tend to be a bit cheaper than Kinkos. I print out quite abit at times at work then get them comb bound with covers at one of the above places for a couple ($2-3)of $$ as opposed to $4-5+$$ at Kinko...
