Thanks, Don. From reading your posts I know you value family very highly. I do as well (seems to be a great trait amongst many on this board, of course)...as far as the baby wagon goes, makin 'em is half the fun...

So far, the greatest thing has been watching my older two interact with the baby. I have a daughter, Aislinn (11), who has been nothing but a joy and has been quite helpful with our other son, Liam (2). When the new baby was still under the warming lights I took Liam up to meet his new brother. Liam looked down (mimicking me) and said, "Hi son". We all cracked up.

How is that pronounced? It would anglicise as Angus Red? My Ghaidhlig, alas, is not what it could be.

Congratulations to the new addition to your family! Health, strength and joy to the child and his parents! :)

I know that as a man you're not expected to have these moments, but I have to say that that is so damn cute. :D
[[PS: Re Gaelic names. I lately made one up myself Ruadhólbh (Rodolw), which has to be the Irish cognate to Rudolf...just that the second part sounds so similar to the IRish word for black, "dubh"....there we go my first Gaelic creation was called Red-Black :D]]

Without getting into too much lilting, aspirating, etc.-yes, it would Anglicise as Angus Rory (meaning Red!). I wish my Ghaidhlig was better too. I keep working on it.
