How many festivals are there? I keep coming across different ones.
I know there is:
Yuletide
Disting
Eoster
Walburga
Midsummer
Freyfaxi
Harvest
Winter Nights
But I have also heard of others as well like Mother's Night, Landasegn, Day of Ydalir etc. Is there an official calendar?

It really depends on who you are asking... Some people follow an 8 celebrations a year calendar while others have more or less... There are some celebrations that are local, regional, or exclusive to a certain Kindred/group...
When looking at the Old Folk, it really depended on where you were looking and what time period you were looking in. There were lots of regional variations, espc. when it comes to "When" a certain tide was celebrated...
As D.E. suggested, check out the OR's calendar, then look at some others.

Excellent. Thanks for the links. :)
I suppose a follow on question would be what calendar do members on the forum follow? Are you all OR?

Personally, I'm an I-G member, not an OR member. Our Kindred has a mix of Irminist and more Scandinavian type Heathens. So we somewhat follow the I-G calendar with some other variations. The time we celebrate is also slightly different at times...

I am a member of the Irminen-Gesellschaft as well as a local kindred, Raven Kindred North. I spent some time as an apprentice member of the Odinic Rite, so I do know a bit about their approach. When I left the OR for the I-G it was only because I wanted an organization that was more in tough with my heritage (Dutch & German) specifically and my personal approach to Odinism. I still think very highly of the OR and would not hesitate to promote them to people who prefer a more pan-Germanic approach.
Times & names of the festivals will vary according to organization/national tradition. With my kindred I celebrate according to the traditions peculiar to them; but my solitary celebrations are done following the I-G calendar.

Yes, and even within the OR the dates in our calendar are not set in stone. Of course the Solstices etc. are specific but other festivals are celebrated as and when members can.
For example my Hearth usually always hold it's main monthly Blot on the third Wednesday of every month.
