Well this is a new experience for me but something I felt called to do for many years.

Is there any ggod books that you can suggest.

Also looking for fellowship with other kin and want to attend rituals. I live in Ocean County, NJ.

Brian.

Welcome to the forum Brian.

If you are looking for books there is an Odinist.com Suggested Reading topic which can be viewed here:

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread.
There is One Kin In Australia, They said I had to be over 18 because mead is alcoholic and there for would be braking the law and in their kin ALL MUST drink mead.

Sounds like a bunch of morons to me. Since when must everyone in a kindred drink? These people are either lying to you or they are just plain stupid.

All I can say is WOW...
Here in the states (and every other place I have heard of up till now) makes non-alcoholic alternatives available to those who do not, or for that matter can not, partake of alcohol... You have people who are recovering alcoholics, people who are alergic to alcohol, and children all who partake of our rituals. Apple Juice, milk, or other such drinks serve very well in that capicity...
I have never heard of a kindred where everyone "Must" drink mead... As I said, WOW...

You are not "Hijacking" the thread and your questions are most welcome :) But you might want to start a new thread to ask for local contacts.
