AFter the incident with the NYT, the prison systems, etc. I am putting serious thought and inquiry into going to congress and petition to get Odinism/Asatru recognized and given the same rights and courtesy as even the most obscure faiths get, Ie wicca and others.
I have talked to my mothers friend whom is former Senetor Chic Hicts wife, and former staffer.
I will follow up on what I can and try to keep you posted as to what I find.
I feel that I am just fed up of the double standard, and ignorrant stance about our faith.. I ahve seen the dopiest ideals and "faiths" get tax free status and govt recognition, can you say Dianetics? the church of universal consiousness/ people that believe in the Piladeans and space aliens for God's sake.. It is our turn to recieve what we are entitles to, a fair and equitable voice and stance. My country is not what I grew up in, it scares and saddens me.. I want our founding fathers promised, to which WERE NOT ALL CHRISTIANS, one of the biggest lies, there were Diests, agnostics, Masonic followers.
I can not promise the moon, but I will try to see what I can do. I am going to try to contact Nevada Sen. Harry Reid {D} , not my first choice but he is liberal enough that he might help, maybe I can make it work in my favor.

Not to be rude, but I do not answer to anyone, I’m not a member of any Org.
I just have the contacts through family and am just tired of the double standard. Prisons are not my focal point, ignorance is. If I can do some good then so be it, if they ignore me, then again so be it, I tried. Anything that moves us ahead can not be a bad thing.

I will do that.
For right now I an testing the waters so to speak, and trying to find out the best angle to approach, petition. I am tied up this next week, but will get on things asap when my schedule calms down. Congresssman, Govenor and Senetors. Write the Whitehouse etc. I think the more mail and exposure they get to our perspective maybe just maybe things might change..

I will have to put things on hold for a little, I am in the process of filling for bankruptcy, and found out that I need to get rid of assets {toomany cars} and had to get a new lawyer. I will be tied up in this for a month at least,BUT will resume ASAP when I get this sorted out. Unless about $20,000 falls out of the air and I do not have to file {Are ya listening Odin?}, I wish lol.

Odin might not have 20,000 fall out of the sky, but he might, just might give you some direction on how you might be able to make it or earn it.

Or possibly Frey or Njord? I believe they are the Gods of Prosperity. I see no evil at all in being wealthy or prosperous, and I don't think the Gods do either, and I get the sense they want to help in this area. Money is not everything but it certainly is an important part of life.

"Poverty is good, Wealth is evil" is just another backwards, mentally poisoness Xtian Concept I believe.

One thing I do know, is this: The number 1 rule in economics: If you're not happy with your economic condition, get off your rear and do something about it.

I'm not saying "you" in particular, Herr Teufelhunden, I mean it as a general "you."

If you need to get rid of a car, I'd be happy to take one off your hands for ya, buddy :D Seriously though I'm sorry to hear about the financial troubles you're in, that smells.. I have been trying to do what I can for a while now in getting odinism recognized, it's difficult though, it's not like there's an "official" list of religions in the US, unless you're talking about specific departments such as the military and department of corrections, etc. Let me know if you come up with any new ideas.. I would be happy to assist in any way that I can!

We can make a difference. I have a feeling that this is a mission that I must do, you would think that as one of the fastest growing faiths it would have a better reception, even in pagan circles.
