Yeah, one of Hengest's litlte rugrats. I have to say Him and Fran sure did a good job making them :p From the sounds of things they are doing an even better job raising them! Hail Hengest and Fran! :D

Severe illness. I usually work from home but went onsite to London the day before. I got so ill, being sick and vomiting, that I had to come home in a taxi!!!! (all the way - fortunately my work, who are an excellent firm, paid). I was semi-recovred friday but in no shape to drive 400 miles, and to top it all one of my girls got it and was sick herself. Not a good weekend.

You should have been "bestowed" with the illness a bit earlire then... so you two would be fit by then...

This year's Folk Camp is this weekend near the White Horse Vale in Oxfordshire - looking forward to it.

It will actually be my family's first weekend camping ever, and I'm sure we will have many comical mishaps to recount. :o

Returned; some others are still there today, though. Was a memorable and pleasant experience. More from me later on this. ;)

Well, we just got back. A very pleasant time, unfortunately marred for me by a bout of illness which lasted about 12 hours - from Sunday morning to evening. But I got better as fast as I got ill.

We visited the White Horse, Dragon Hill, and held a blot and profession at Wayland's Smithy, and then went back to Dragon Hill on sunday morning fora another early blot.

I'm still pretty exhausted and will just congratulate the organisers and for now I will just say how pleasant it was to meet many odinist.com members r/l. :)

Minus myself. They got up there at the inhuman time of 7.30 AM, good old Siggy was still counting sheeps in his tent then! I thought in the ways of "ah, someone could have woken me up", but I know that Asrad would have given me a broad smile with "self-reliant Odinists, huh?" ... :D

Well, yea...I liked the excursions (A few others and I went to Avebury on Sunday afternoon to visit the Henges and the Longbarrow too; but that was more on the "extracurricular" side), and the Blot was powerful. Well..what else to say...

Yea, ended up with the worst sunburn of my life, but well...
Oh, and Hengest had the constant art of getting me with my own statements.....just wait till GM, mate, I'll have my wits about me there.....:D

Was great meeting everyone, and yea, surely wasn't my last Folk Camp. :)

And good to hear, pinlighter, that you have recovered a bit. I was rather worried, as you were still down with the illness when I left, but yea, good to hear that you're better already. ;)

Lol, we were in the same boat there. I had lodging and no provisions and missed the first shopping trip because I was enjoying a beer with Torthred, Njal and another member whose name I haven't recorded (:o); but thanks to the help of Hengest, Fran, Asrad and Ruth (and Jaime, thanks for showing me that Vegetarian sausages aren't *that* bad after all!), I was able to survive till the next shopping trip! :)
And of course, I missed getting up for the Blot, too, I think it was the two of us who moaned in unison? :D :p
