Hi everybody im jason from St Louis Missouri, i discovered Odinism about a year ago. I am studying to be a blacksmith. I like gardening and reading i dont know what else to write so i hope to get to know people and learn some new stuff.

I was in college wanting to become a history teacher and possibly go on to be an archeologist but I finally came to a realization that I very much disliked having to take advanced math and other classes so far from my major. I also realized that I would be in some sort of school for the rest of my life if I went that route. So I started looking into things that lead down the path of history and blacksmithing was the one that felt right. I always liked to make things with my hands and metal is so lasting.

I think that blacksmithing would be cool, would love to do it, but not too sure other than horse shoeing here how I would make a living at it ...

Hail friend, from a fellow new member! I have a buddy who does blacksmithing demonstrations at farm and old iron shows. I think that's pretty cool that you're taking up the trade.
