I’m researching my family tree and thought I’d post a couple of links to some sources that I’ve found very useful.
http://www.genwed.com/UK/england.htm
Contains details of many English marriages. It’s incomplete, but I’ve found the records of two of my ancestors marriages and as the certificates list both parties parents, it obviously opens up other avenues. The site gives you the actual marriage certificate number and where to order it from which saves a great deal of time:
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp
Site contains the 1880 US Census and the 1881 UK and Canadian census to view for free. A great resource, I’ve found out loads from this site. (Good to see that the Mormans aren’t a complete waste of time!)
